About Delmarva United Homecare

Delmarva United Homecare is a licensed homecare agency providing personal care, companion care, respite care, and dementia care services to individuals in Delaware and Northern Virginia. We are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care that enables our clients to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Licensing & Accreditation

Delmarva United Homecare operates in full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations governing homecare agencies. We maintain active licensure in the states of Delaware and Virginia. Our caregivers are thoroughly screened, trained, and supervised to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to every client.

Scope of Services

Our services are non-medical in nature and include personal care assistance, companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and administrative assistance. We do not provide skilled nursing, medical diagnosis, or treatment services. Clients requiring medical care should consult a licensed healthcare provider.

Insurance & Payment

Delmarva United Homecare accepts a variety of insurance plans including Aetna, Anthem, Humana, Sentara, Delaware First Health, and Highmark BCBS Delaware. We also offer private pay options and pro-bono coverage for qualifying individuals. Coverage and eligibility vary by plan and individual circumstances. Clients are encouraged to verify their benefits prior to initiating services.

Pro-Bono Program Disclosure

Our pro-bono coverage program provides up to 14 hours per week of temporary homecare at no cost to qualifying individuals awaiting Medicaid approval. This program is subject to eligibility requirements, caregiver availability, and funding capacity. Participation in the pro-bono program does not guarantee ongoing services or Medicaid approval. Delmarva United Homecare reserves the right to modify or discontinue pro-bono services at any time based on operational capacity.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Delmarva United Homecare is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all clients. Personal health information is collected, used, and disclosed only as necessary to provide care and as required or permitted by applicable law, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We do not sell or share client information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We take all grievances seriously and are committed to resolving concerns promptly and fairly. Complaints may also be directed to the appropriate state regulatory agency in Delaware or Virginia.
